Using the Town Crier
The Town Crier is the community noticeboard — announcements, jobs, tradespeople, work requests, lost-and-found and general posts. Browsable by anyone, post-able by registered users.
Categories
- Announcements — local news, road closures, community updates.
- Jobs — vacancies advertised by local employers.
- Tradespeople — plumbers, electricians, gardeners, joiners offering services.
- Work wanted — people looking for work.
- General — anything that doesn't fit the others.
Posting
Open Town Crier → Post a notice (you must be signed in). Pick a category, write a title and body (markdown), add up to 3 photos, and submit.
Posts go live immediately and stay up for 60 days. Renew, edit or delete from your profile.
Replying to posts
Most posts allow public comments — reply at the bottom of the post page. The poster gets an email notification.

Following and notifications
Follow a category to get a daily digest of new posts.
Follow a person to see their posts in your home feed.
