Watching Stories from the field

Stories from the field are short vertical clips from the producers behind your food — lambing, harvest, kitchen prep, market days. Tap a clip to watch full-screen, then shop the products tagged in it without leaving the player.

Where to find them

Three places, all crawlable so a story shared on social media unfurls cleanly:

  • Homepage scroller — the "Stories from the field" rail shows the latest 8 clips. Tap any thumbnail to watch.
  • /stories index page — every live clip from every producer, 4 per row on desktop / 2 on phones.
  • Customer app → Shop tab → Stories tile — opens the full-screen vertical feed where you swipe up to see the next clip (same paging behaviour as TikTok or Reels).

Watching a clip

In the mobile app the active clip autoplays and loops. Tap anywhere on the video to toggle sound. Scroll up for the next clip; off-screen clips pause and rewind so coming back restarts them from the top.

On the web, each clip opens on /stories/[slug] with native player controls — play, pause, scrub.

Shopping the story

Producers tag up to 8 products into each clip. The bottom overlay shows product chips with image, name and price — tap a chip to open the product detail page and add it to your basket.

The right-rail Share button (mobile) or the Share row (web) generates a link with UTM attribution so the producer can see which clips drive the most sales.

Following a producer

Tap the merchant pill at the top of a clip to land on their stall. Follow them from the stall page and you'll get their next clip in your feed first.
